Japan Day 3: Ameyayokocho And Ueno Park

Japan Day 2: Tokyo DisneySea

Ameya-yokocho market is a busy narrow street, about 500 meters long market with more than few hundreds shops standing side by side between Ueno and Okachimachi station.  They sell a wide variety of items ranging from fresh and dry marine products, to clothing and miscellaneous goods.  I also noticed so many restaurants are selling the fresh raw marine food or raw meat.  Therefore, we jumped in to this nice-looking restaurant.  Looking very tiny and packed with diners, so we thought we may need to wait for awhile, but they direct us to upstairs where there are more seats available.  Yayy... no more rumbling tummy.  I straight away know what should I have, Beef tartare don, freshly minced beef topped with spring onions and raw egg yolk.  While my hubby went with his usual Unagi don, for save choice.  Both of dishes are absolutely wonderful.  Super fresh, flavorsome and cheap.

After a yummy breakfast that we had, we then stroll around the Ueno Park.  It was around mid April, that's why sakura trees were blossom everywhere and one of the best spot to see is in this Ueno Park.  We at first got off at Okachimachi station and walk along the market until reach the other entrance of the market which is near Ueno station and Ueno Park.

Japan Day 1: Akihabara And Namja Town, Ikebukuro

Early on that day, we rushed having breakfast at one of the ramen shop at Ikebukuro station that open pretty early in the morning.  However, the tsukemen ramen was unbelievable delicious.  I actually had them more later while we were still in Tokyo.

Then we catched JR train to JR Maihama station and exchange to Disney Resort Monorail to Tokyo Disney Sea station otherwise you can take a walk from JR Maihama station to the park (about 20 minutes).  But most of the people won't miss catching this special Disney-theme train.  The electric train @ Disney Gateway costs us 260¥/pp for one way ticket.

Not much story I could tell, you just need to experience and explore this park by yourself then you will understand why this Disneyland is the best theme park for kids and even adult.

After spending a full day at DisneySea, we had a short stroll at the Tokyo station and grab some snacks along the way.  Then just take some rest at the hotel before another long day tomorrow.  Thank you to read my blog and Octie Appetie guys..

Japan Day 1: Akihabara And Namja Town, Ikebukuro

This is our second round in Japan.  This time we want to dig deeper of each district in Tokyo, that we haven't covered last time.  Plus we will visit some new places like Hakone and Okinawa as well.  So please enjoy my blog, guys.

After we landed from Bangkok, we just dropped our luggage at the hotel then headed straight to Akhihabara to see those superhuge and colorful billboards about the anime.  The city is definitely shown as what they are entitled of.  Manga and Electronic Town.  For the manga geek, this place will make them go crazy.  There are games, dvds, costumes and also figurines.

Quick lunch at one of the sushi train next to JR Akihabara ststion

At night, we had a stroll at the Sunshine City Complex, Ikebukuro.  We didn't walk much in the mall but instead heading straight to Namco Namja Town, where they have food theme park, Gyoza Stadium, Dessert Alley, and Ice Cream Parlour (it is used to be Ice Cream City).  There is a hounted house as well inside the area.
