Vietnam Part 7: Halong Bay Part 5 (Dinner On Board)

If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a proper and more up class than a street food, then this place is probably will answer your needs.  Quan An Ngon is a huge huge restaurant with a street food like setting surrounded the dining area that serving a traditional local Vietnamese food.  Great range of choices, serves clean and the price also was not so expensive.

You do not need to sit low and eat challengingly on the street while the hustling bustling cars passing by, just to can try their street food, especially for travelers with kids.  In here, the food taste very authentic, delicious and you nearly can get all types of food in one place, from appetizer to sweets.  So convenient...

Fully equipped on the small boat heading to the shore

In the late afternoon, we can choose to walk around the shore or stay in the boat at our pleasure.  The big boat will still park there in the middle of the sea, then what we need to do is just riding a much smaller boat that will take us to the edge of the shore.  After that the guide will leave us alone enjoying the view there or swim around.  Then, she will come back and pick us up by the shore a couple hours later.  It definitely could take a day on this island, swimming, walk around the beach or climbing up the rock to see the whole view of Halong Bay.

Then, in the early evening, they host the cooking class, Vietnamese cooking class.  However, only a short bit, they just teach how to make Vietnamese spring roll.  I left in the middle of the class, because it is quite boring, my apologize if I said too harsh.

Boarding our boat for the night

Heading to our cabin

Reception desk

Our suite room

Our room is right in the corner, complete with spacious private balcony so we can enjoy the beautiful Halong Bay view unlimited from outdoor or even just overlooking from inside the window.  The room is very clean and much bigger than I thought a cabin would be.  It is more like a hotel room actually.  And the water is pretty stable, not much movement, so I didn't get that sea sick.

Let's take a look on the photo of deluxe room and superior room.
