Vietnam Part 5: Halong Bay Part 3 (Paradise Cruise)

Fully equipped on the small boat heading to the shore

In the late afternoon, we can choose to walk around the shore or stay in the boat at our pleasure.  The big boat will still park there in the middle of the sea, then what we need to do is just riding a much smaller boat that will take us to the edge of the shore.  After that the guide will leave us alone enjoying the view there or swim around.  Then, she will come back and pick us up by the shore a couple hours later.  It definitely could take a day on this island, swimming, walk around the beach or climbing up the rock to see the whole view of Halong Bay.

Then, in the early evening, they host the cooking class, Vietnamese cooking class.  However, only a short bit, they just teach how to make Vietnamese spring roll.  I left in the middle of the class, because it is quite boring, my apologize if I said too harsh.

Boarding our boat for the night

Heading to our cabin

Our suite room

Our room is right in the corner, complete with spacious private balcony so we can enjoy the beautiful Halong Bay view unlimited from outdoor or even just overlooking from inside the window.  The room is very clean and much bigger than I thought a cabin would be.  It is more like a hotel room actually.  And the water is pretty stable, not much movement, so I didn't get that sea sick.

Let's take a look on the photo of deluxe room and superior room.

Vietnam Part 2: Hanoi In One Day

Today we were heading to Halong bay and to spend one night on the boat right in the middle of the world heritage.  They are lots and lots of cruise companies in Halong Bay, we chose Paradise Cruise, as we reads lots of reviews stating that this company has the luxury big boat, yummy food and lovely service.  The journey from Hanoi to the wharf roughly takes about 4 hours with private chattered mini bus.  I could see suburban life along the way, the unique style houses, the way they transport the stuffs on the bike.  Some I could capture through these photos.

heaps of slim and tall houses in Hanoi

Once we arrived at the port, they welcome us, help us with our luggage and lead us to wait inside the nice and cool cafĂ© complete with heaps of food before we depart.  This is because Paradise cruise has their own private lounge that we can use freely.  Then after everyone has arrived, the guy takes us to Paradise Cruise boat.
