Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort, Thailand

Our stay at the Pullman Panwa Hotel Pool Villa was easily one of the highlights of our Phuket trip.  Tucked away in the peaceful Panwa area, the resort feels like a quiet escape from the busy tourist spots while still offering everything you need for a relaxing family holiday.

Welcome drink

We stayed in one of their Pool Villas, and wow... the room was huge!  There was so much space for our family to spread comfortably, but my favourite part had to be the bathroom.  It was incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and felt like a mini spa all on its own.

The best part for the kids?  Having our own private swimming pool literally just a few steps from the room.  They could jump straight into the pool whenever they wanted - morning, afternoon or even at night.  It made the holiday feel extra special, and honestly, it was hard to convince them to leave the villa!

One thing we absolutely loved about staying in a private pool villa was enjoying in-room dining.  After a fun day in the sun, it was nice to stay in, relax by our pool and have dinner delivered.  The pizza was such a hit that ended up ordering it two nights in a row.

The resort also surprised us with a lovely birthday setup for our daughter.  They decorated our room beautifully and even prepared a cute little chocolate birthday cake for her.  It was such a thoughtful gesture that made her day even more memorable.

Beyond the villa, the resort has two main swimming pools for guests.  The main pool is massive and perfect for both adults and kids.  If you're looking for something different, you can even rent an underwater scooter to explore the pool in a fun way.  There's also a dedicated kids' pool complete with a slide, which kept the little ones entertained for hours.

The resort also has direct beach access, where we spotted so many starfish during low tide.  It became one of our kids' favourite activities just walking along the shore and looking for marine life.

Can you spot Patrick?

There's also a Kids Club with nannies to look after, giving parents a chance to relax while the children have fun.

In the evening, the atmosphere became even more magical with the fire show help by the beach on selected nights.  Watching the performance with the sea breeze was the perfect day to end the day.

Overall, Pullman Panwa's Pool Villa was everything we hoped for - a relaxing family gateway with spacious accommodation, thoughtful hospitality, fantastic facilities and plenty of fun for both kids and adults.  We would happily stay here again on our next trip to Phuket.

The Coral Beach Club

Previously:

While we were waiting for our flight back to Bangkok at a very late night, we had a full day to explore Phuket.  My husband best friend recommended this tour company called Nonthasak Travel.  We spent the whole day travelling to and doing water activities at Coral Island or Koh Hey.  They organised a hotel pick up to the ferry terminal then a boat to go to Coral Island and then took us back to the airport.

The boat departed from Rawai Ferry terminal.  It took around 10-15 minutes boat ride to the island.  We were in a private boat, so spacious, it could fit comfortably for 15 people.  It is a pretty new boat and extremely clean.  The driver was a lovely guy as well.  He even went down together with us to do snorkelling, just to make sure that we were sound and safe.

On the island, there are plenty of activities offered, such as parasailing, banana boat, snorkelling and more.  You can also buy food and drinks while relaxing and lying on a lazy beach chair.

My kids prefer just to sit on the shore and letting the waves slowly kiss their feet.  They are very easy to please, just as simple as this and they were already overly joyful and contended.

Later on that day, the driver took us to do snorkelling somewhere at the back of the island.  The area was not so crowded at all and OMG!!  The water was insanely clear and translucent.  We can even see corals and fish from above with our bare eyes.

Lobster Seafood Rawai

Next to this ferry terminal, there is a seafood restaurant that look really inviting.  Basically, you can choose and buy live seafood from the market next door and they will cook them as per your choice of sauce and cooking.  Or otherwise, you can also head straight inside the restaurant and order from the menu.

At first, we thought after we bought those fresh seafood, we still need to pay extra for cooking services but we were wrong.  They all included.  We paid around 2,000 baht for all the seafood in that basket, so there is blue swimmer crab, scallops, and hoi lod or type of local clams, and giant river prawns.  Honestly, it was very cheap and super fresh.

Although the restaurant is so huge, it was very hard to find a spot.  The place packed with hungry customers both in indoor and outdoor.   However, the most disappointing part was we didn't get our food until nearly one hour waiting and after we urged them too.  We normally don't like to be a pain in someone else bump, but we only had less than three hours until our flight and from there it still takes an hour and half to the airport.  But one hour without food at all was a bit too much as well.

The nice waitress was very helpful too, she helped us hurrying to serve our food.  We ended up left before everything was served.  We missed another two dishes because we were too afraid that we will miss our flight.  And we just gave them away to the waitresses.

Price wise is very cheap, they taste good too, but be ready for quite a bit of wait.  Apparently, I heard that some tours had left without having any food as well because they have limited time and can't be bothered to wait.
