From Sapporo Station we need to catch a train and get off at Asahikawa Station then get on the bus to Asahiyama Zoo. Take a bus number 41, 42, or 47 that takes around 40 minutes and costs 440 yen.
We bought the package ticket, that's including transportation and entry fee. The good thing is we skip all those queues, from buying the entry ticket at the zoo and queue of entering the park as well. Double win win situation. Because you can get onto the priority row and get in first when the zoo gate opens.

It was a very hectic and busy lunch at the zoo, just make sure you come early to secure your seat otherwise...
