Bugis and Arab Street, Singapore

Previously:

We've been to Singapore a few times already.  So, this trip we're aiming to visit places we haven't been in particular.  Tonight we set off for Bugis street and Arab street.  We had dinner in Albert hawker center just right opposite Bugis shopping mall.  This food court is so huge.  Although a lot of stores are closed at that time but we still spoilt by choice with those who open.  I laid on Indonesian food as I missed this cuisine so badly.  It brings back my childhood memory and honestly I couldn't find any decent Indonesian food in Thailand.

I got myself a set of ayam rendang with rice for S$4.80 and vegetable on the side forS $1 extra.  Very cheap yet the portion is very huge.  The dish tastes absolutely delicious.  The chicken meat was so tender and flavorsome.  However, the sambal is slightly on the mild side, which is not up to my standard.

First time in Bugis and I am amazed by how bustling and bright this place is.  You can get fresh fruits, little snacks to cloths and souvenirs all in one place.  They literally have everything.  Unfortunately, we were pretty full with our dinner, so we didn't try any snacks or drinks from here.

This shop looks very interesting

We got some baklava and Turkish coffee for our dessert.  6 tiny pieces of baklava cost us S$12.  I think, they are too pricey.  For the taste itself, it was pretty ordinary.
