Koh Samui, Thailand

Chaweng Garden Beach Resort, Koh Samui

We rent a car for a day.  It was pretty easy to drive around in Koh Samui.  There is one main road along the beachline that makes one loop.  From our hotel in Chaweng beach, we started with Hin Tai Hin Yai or in Thai language means grandma and grandpa stone.  Then we made a short stop at Central Mosque and Guan Yu temple and after that lunch at Kala noodle.  Then we continue our journey to Wang Sao Thong Waterfall, however it was a dry season therefore the waterfall would not be as pretty.  So we skipped that and move on to Samui Monkey Center.  Afterward, we were chilling out at Fisherman Village Bophut having some nice cocktails with a view before heading to Wat Phra Yai Ko Fan (Big Buddha).  Then back to hotel.

The next day, after breakfast we headed to one of the famous BBQ pork rice in Nathon.  Drive there just to eat khao pad moo daeng.  It wasn't disappointed me though.  The thing I like was the bbq pork and roast pork come with tomato fried rice and the sauce comes aside.  Unlike any other khao moo daeng elsewhere where the red sauce is poured on top.  This way made the pork more stand out and not overwhelm with the taste of sauce.   Then we just enjoyed the nice view from Ferry Samui.

It is called Hin Ta (grandpa stone) because pay attention of the shape. Hin Yai is located on the other side (not in this photo)

Kala noodle
This noodle is served on the coconut bowl.  The tom yum broth is very thick.  By the look of the broth's colour, it is very flavorsome and pungent.  Huge piece of pork ribs is filled up the bowl of noodle.  It is definitely 10 out of 10 dish.
